After a long stint dealing with injuries, Ben Simmons is finally healthy. He has been dealing with back issues that date back all the way to 2020. According to Brooklyn Nets head coach Jacque Vaugnh:

"If Ben is able to play consistently in a certain way, there's no doubt that he should have the basketball in his hands."

He also went further on to explain that since he's 100% healthy, that he will play 5-on-5 with "no restrictions". Over the last couple of years, Ben Simmons career trajectory has been a bit skewed starting with his holdout during his time with the Philadelphia 76ers. Controversy and injuries have unfortunately prevented us from seeing what he's fully capable of.

This new Brooklyn Nets team is very promising. Nic Claxton is a defensive powerhouse at center, averaging nearly a steal and 2.5 blocks per game. During the Kevin Durant trade, the Brooklyn Nets acquired two very promising young wing players in Cameron Johnson and Mikal Bridges. Cameron Johnson is a versatile piece for the team, as he's a solid shooter and defender. Mikal Bridges took a massive step in his offensive game last season and seems to be poised to win this year's Most Improved Player award. When healthy, the multiple-time all-star and all-defensive first-team player, Ben Simmons, has a tremendous impact. Coach Jacque Vaungh believes that his play style can impact the team all around with his versatility:

"He does put us in a position where I can use multiple lineups [with] different people around him so we can have success on both ends of the floor."

There are still many question regarding Ben Simmons. Will he manage to stay healthy? Will he be able to play like his previous self? Can he improve his shooting? Will he be able to perform in the playoffs? These questions will finally be able to be answered now that he's finally back at 100% after finally overcoming his injury. He will also get his chance to play a full season with the Brooklyn Nets and hopefully bring them back to the playoffs.
