Earlier this month, the Golden State Warriors commenced their training camp and subsequently participated in three preseason games. Their preseason record stands at 3-0, with a recent 121-115 win against the Sacramento Kings on Sunday evening.

In a report from Monday afternoon, Anthony Slater of The Athletic revealed that the team has executed multiple roster changes.

In order to free up roster spots, the Golden State Warriors have waived Donovan Williams, Javan Johnson, and Kendric Davis, as confirmed by Anthony Slater. All three players were initially on non-guaranteed training camp contracts. The Warriors also officially announced their release through Twitter:

Additionally, Slater confirmed that the Warriors planned to sign both Javonte Green and Yuri Collins as well.

According to Slater, the intention is to release Green and Collins, and it's expected that all five players will eventually join the Warriors' NBA G League affiliate in Santa Cruz. Although the specific contract details were not revealed, Slater's reporting strongly indicates that Green and Collins will likely sign Exhibit 10 contracts. These contracts would grant both players the opportunity to earn a bonus of up to $75K if they spend a minimum of 60 days with the Santa Cruz team.

Javonte Green:

Javonte started his career by playing internationally in Spain, Italy, and Germany. He eventually earned himself a two-year contract with the Boston in 2019. Towards the end of his time with the Boston Celtics, he suffered an injry in his right knee that followed him for the rest of his career. He would then be traded to the Chicago Bulls for two years before being signed by Golden State.

Green's career averages aren't exactly mind-blowing, averaging 5.1 PPG, 2.8 RPG, while shooting 53.4% from the field, and 34.2% from three. However, he is a formidable athlete and a great defender.

Yuri Collins

Collins is a point guard who remained undrafted this year from Saint Louis. During his senior season, he averaged 11.2 PPG, 10.1 APG, 3.3 RPG, and 1.3 SPG. His performance earned him the title of an All-Atlantic 10 First Team member for two consecutive seasons. Additionally, Collins played in the NBA Summer League while donning the Warriors' jersey.

The Warriors now have 20 players under contract, just one player short of the preseason roster limit. As they prepare for the regular season, the team has two more preseason games to play before they are set to host the Phoenix Suns on October 24 for their opening game of the year.
