Golden State Warriors' Star Draymond Green Opens Up About Back Injury
Draymond Green revealed on his podcast, "The Draymond Green Show," that he's been dealing with a recent back problem, which led to his absence in the Warriors' loss against the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday.
"My back has been bothering me for like four or five games. And I've been just kind of like going through it, playing through it, The hope is that those extra couple days will allow it to go away, because it's just no fun. And it's also has been kind of in that same area that I had the issue before."
In 2022, Green faced significant absence due to back issues, sidelining him for over two months. However, he made a triumphant return during the crucial stretch and played a key role in guiding the Warriors to the NBA championship that year.
The Warriors have gone 5-5 in their last 10 games, ranking 23rd in turnovers and 24th in steals per game across the league. Currently in 10th place in the Western Conference, they're at risk of missing the playoffs, an uncommon scenario for the recent dynasty. With Curry sidelined due to injury, the challenge has intensified.
