This week we had the first meeting between the new loom Mavericks and Lakers squads. With both teams expecting to go deep into the playoffs it is likely that this game was a preview for a future playoff series.

The comeback was largely spearheaded by LeBron James, who scored 13 points in the final quarter. However, despite his efforts, he fumbled in the crucial final minute, turning the ball over and ultimately costing them the match.

Despite there being another 81 games in the season, Doncic labeled this victory as significant for the Mavericks' efforts. He not only praised the Lakers' quality and the satisfaction of defeating a team of their caliber but also highlighted how this win ended their two-game losing streak. This momentum can now be carried forward, adding to their already impressive start to the season.
