New Orleans witnessed a stellar performance from CJ McCollum, who nailed 9 of 13 three-pointers and matched his season-best with 33 points. Zion Williamson added 17 points and a career-high 11 assists, leading the Pelicans to a historic 153-124 win over the Utah Jazz on Tuesday night.

This victory not only surpassed the Pelicans' previous record of 149 points set in October 2018 against the Sacramento Kings, but also established a new franchise milestone with 41 assists on 60 made field goals.

Presently, the Pelicans hold the 5th position in the Western Conference, boasting a 6-4 record in their recent 10 games. They rank 8th in offensive rating and 9th in defensive rating.

Pelicans coach Willie Green expressed admiration for the remarkable display by the players in the locker room, emphasizing their teamwork, ball-sharing, and rebounding. Green credited CJ for sparking the team's momentum early on and expressed satisfaction in witnessing the team fully embrace the goals they are striving to achieve. He commended the team's trust in taking open shots, highlighting the collective commitment to their shared objectives.

McCollum mentioned that he felt rejuvenated after enjoying three days of rest, engaging in practice sessions, and delving into film analysis following a disheartening loss to Phoenix last Saturday.

"The NBA should give us three days in between games more often," he said, laughing.
