76ers Head Coach Nick Nurse had this to say about Joel Embiid
Nick Nurse provided an update on Joel Embiid's status before the Philadelphia 76ers' victory against the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday. Nurse expressed optimism about Embiid's recovery, mentioning that doctors are pleased with the progress the star player has made.
"I think there's always stages of how these things progress," Nurse said. "Everyone wants to know 'Well how long is it going to be?" And they give a wide range because of that, because everyone heals differently. We're just trying to take it as it comes, get him healthy and get him back when he's ready to go."
When questioned about Embiid's readiness for the playoffs, Nurse responded with cautious optimism.
"I'm still hoping so and pretty confident, yes," Nurse said.
In Embiid's absence, the Sixers have slipped from a top-five spot in the East to eighth. Nevertheless, they have managed to hold onto a playoff position. The team is hopeful that Embiid's return will bolster their efforts during the critical phase of the season.
