In a dramatic Game 2 of their first-round series against the New York Knicks, the Philadelphia 76ers suffered a heartbreaking 104-101 loss despite nearly clinching a crucial road victory. After taking a five-point lead with just 47.3 seconds left, the 76ers watched the game slip away in a mere 14.3 seconds. Jalen Brunson hit a bouncing 3-pointer, Tyrese Maxey committed a turnover on the next inbound, and after Donte DiVincenzo missed a three, Isaiah Hartenstein snagged the offensive rebound and hit the game-winner.

"We're good,'' Embiid said, sitting inside Madison Square Garden's visitors locker room. "We're going to win this series. We are going to win this. We know what we got to fix. We did a better job today, so we are going to fix it. We are the better team. We are going to keep fighting."

Despite the chaos in the final seconds and a missed potential game-tying three by Joel Embiid at the buzzer, the 76ers superstar center remains confident, boldly declaring that Philadelphia will win the series. The sequence was fraught with controversy, including missed calls and a critical timeout that the 76ers claimed to have called but was not acknowledged. Furthermore, Philadelphia expressed frustration over a non-call when Brunson allegedly grabbed Maxey's jersey before the ball was inbounded.

Throughout the game, Embiid led the team with 34 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists, demonstrating why he's considered one of the league's elite. Yet, despite his stellar performance and the near victory, the 76ers and coach Nick Nurse, along with players like Nicolas Batum, were left lamenting what might have been, especially those final, fateful 14.3 seconds. Embiid's determination remains unshaken as he and his team prepare to fight back in the series.
