Chandler Parsons had a surprising take on who was tougher to guard between Kevin Durant and LeBron James.

On Monday, Mario Chalmers ignited a firestorm with his audacious statement claiming that his ex-Miami Heat teammate, LeBron James, doesn't instill fear in the NBA. The bold assertion has, predictably, stirred up quite a buzz. In response, Chandler Parsons, former NBA player-turned-analyst, offers his perspective on the contentious topic.

Parsons drops a Kevin Durant-infused reality check on LeBron's ability to incite fear in opponents. In Parsons' experience, he was more intimidated by KD than the Los Angeles Lakers icon:

«There's harder matchups one-on-one,» Parsons said. «When I was playing I feared guarding Kevin Durant more than I feared guarding LeBron James just because of his ability to score in iso, the way he can break you off. The way you can play great defense, he can shoot over you. LeBron is more passive.»

For the record, Parsons isn't diminishing LeBron's prowess. He's emphasizing that Durant presents a more formidable one-on-one challenge compared to the Lakers' superstar, primarily due to LeBron's pass-first mentality and his inclination to involve his teammates.

Nevertheless, Parsons explicitly acknowledges that LeBron remains an imposing force on the basketball court:

«But let's not get it twisted,» he continued. «There is fear when you see this man coming downhill on you. Or even when you're going for a layup and you know he's coming behind you to block your layup off the backboard.»

Check out this throwback where you can see both players going back and forth during an exciting Christmas game:
