One week after winning the NBA Championship with the Milwaukee Bucks, Jrue Holiday and Khris Middleton has to fly to the other side of the world to play for Team USA.

Team USA basketball suffered a loss on their first game of 2020 Tokyo Olympics. France went on a 16-2 run to beat the Americans, 83-76.

Jrue Holiday claps back on Team USA bashers after their loss to France:

«This is my first day,» said Holiday (via olympics.com). «Literally my first day. This is the first time I've been on this stage; you always want to make an impression. I just came out and played as hard as I can. We had a chance France is a good team. They play very, very well together. They were consistent throughout the whole game.»

We have to keep going; we have to break that barrier. I'm very positive about tonight. France is a good team. I feel we're getting better every game.»

Holiday has a decent Olympic debut tallying 18 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 steal off the bench. He led Team USA in scoring and in minutes played.
