Latest: Lakers Nets engaging in Russell Westbrook trade proposals

According to Chris Haynes of Yahoo sports the Lakers and Nets are discussing a trade package revolving around Kyrie Irving and Russel Westbrook.


Russel Westbrook and Kyrie Irving both used their player options to opt into the final year of their contract. Kyrie opted in at $36.5 million and Russel Westbrook a whopping $47 million.


The Lakers are slightly becoming the favourites to land Kyrie Irving. Since he left Lebron, Kyrie hasn't been really at his best, failing to lead any of his teams past the second round of the playoffs.

Could a reunion with his former teammate re-spark the Kyrie we all know? If one player can keep Kyrie focus on the task, that is surely Lebron James. He did it once, why cant he do it twice, but this time in Lala Land.
