Suns Acquiring Controversial Forward?

Published January 28, 2024 at 2:03 PM

The Phoenix Suns are looking to add even more fire power to their already loaded big three of Devin Booker, Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal. The Sun are very top heavy with those three, who have played together very sparsely this season due to injury, however they have put together a string of games together since Beal's return from his most recent injury. They are 7-3 in their last 10 games and are starting to make a climb in the West Standings, up to 6th place in the west with a 26-19 record.

They will be looking to add and are confident they will acquire their player of choice, Miles Bridges from the Charlotte Hornets. Bridges is averaging 20.8 points per game, 7.2 rebounds and 3 assists per game for a Hornets team nit currently in a playoff position and not expected to battle for one as the season moves on.

One report is firmly against the Suns acquiring Bridges, due to his history of domestic violence charges. It is a risky move to waste assets on players with this type of history in case any new problems emerge that could make a team end their relationship with said player. Gerald Bourguet of PHNX Sports does not think they should be looking into Bridges, although all signs point to them pursuing the talented forward.
