The Nets are considering assigning Ben Simmons to the G League

Ben Simmons inches closer to a return with the Brooklyn Nets. Despite not setting a definite timeline for his comeback, Jacque Vaughn hinted at a potential plan for Simmons' gradual reintegration.

Vaughn mentioned: "At some point, I think we'll use Long Island, hopefully, to get a practice underneath him or get some more bodies around him. Hopefully, that's in the near future."

Here, "Long Island" refers to the Long Island Nets in the G League, a common avenue for players to undergo rehab assignments before resuming regular play.

Since November 6, Simmons has been sidelined due to a recurrence of his back issues. Engaged in rehab efforts, the Nets maintain optimism that Simmons will rejoin the lineup later in the season.
