The Clippers are backed into a corner, down 3-2 in their first-round series against the Mavericks. As they gear up for a do-or-die Game 6 Friday night, the air in L.A. is thick with tension—or at least, you'd think it would be. But Clippers guard James Harden is flipping the script on who's really feeling the heat.

''At the end of the day, the pressure's on them to close it out,'' Harden stated during the shootaround. ''For us, it's about nailing our execution on both ends of the court.''

Despite the stakes, Harden seems unfazed, even after a rough Game 5 where he set a dubious NBA Playoff record. Scoring only seven points on a dismal 2-of-12 shooting, Harden now has the most playoff games in NBA history with ten or more shot attempts and two or fewer makes—a total of ten times.

This isn't just about surviving another game for the Clippers; it's about Harden and his teammate George proving they can carry the team in the absence of Leonard. They've already managed a blowout and a narrow escape from a massive comeback this series—so while Harden plays it cool, saying, "it's just a game," the reality is the stakes couldn't be higher. Not just for the season, but for their future with the Clippers. That's a whole different kind of pressure.
