Naz Reid's NBA journey has been nothing short of inspirational. Starting as an undrafted player on a two-way deal, progressing to a multi-year contract, and now capturing a prestigious award, Reid has truly made his mark. The Minnesota Timberwolves center was crowned the NBA's Sixth Man of the Year for the 2023-24 season, marking a significant milestone in his career.

At just 24 years old, Reid has become the first Timberwolves player ever to win the Sixth Man of the Year award and only the third undrafted player in NBA history to achieve this honor, joining the ranks of John Starks (1996-97) and Darrell Armstrong (1998-99). In a tight race, Reid edged out Malik Monk by securing 352 points to Monk's 342, thanks to receiving 45 first-place votes to Monk's 43. Both players received 39 second-place votes and 10 third-place votes each.

Other top contenders included Bobby Portis Jr., Norman Powell, and Bogdan Bogdanovic, who rounded out the top five. During this season, his fifth in the league, Reid proved himself as an indispensable reserve, playing in a career-high 81 games. He posted personal bests with averages of 13.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game. He also showcased significant improvement in his shooting, achieving a 47.7% field goal percentage and a personal best of 41.4% from beyond the arc.
