Miles 'Deuce' McBride has been on a remarkable run for the Knicks lately.

The young point guard has shown significant improvement in his game over the past few months, prompting Tom Thibodeau to call upon him to fill in for the injured OG Anunoby in Monday night's lineup.

In just his sixth start of the season, McBride seized the opportunity on the national stage, delivering a career-best performance in the wire-to-wire victory over the Golden State Warriors.

Starting off strong, the 23-year-old kept superstar point guard Steph Curry scoreless in the first quarter and drained a career-high five three-pointers, amassing 19 points in the first half alone.

While he had a quieter third quarter, McBride's pivotal three-pointer and emphatic slam dunk were instrumental in sealing the Knicks' third consecutive win.

The University of West Virginia standout concluded the game with a career-high 29 points on 9-of-13 shooting from the field and 6-of-9 from beyond the arc, all while maintaining his stellar defense against Curry throughout his 47 minutes on the court.

"Deuce did a terrific job," Thibodeau said postgame. "He was never really in the rotation and it isn't easy to handle that, but he never complained, was always ready. The shooting tonight was huge for us."

Since the start of the new year, McBride has been averaging 8.9 points, shooting at 43 percent from the field and 40 percent from beyond the arc, resulting in more playing time opportunities.

As a result of his impressive performance, McBride is gradually earning additional minutes on the court, and his confidence has soared to new heights during this peak period of his three-year NBA journey.

"All the glory to God, I always trust him first," McBride said. "Right now I'm just believing in myself, continuing to shoot with confidence, and trusting my work ethic and the work I've put in."
