MVP Candidate Injured, Misses Game

Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers will miss another game today against the Denver Nuggets due to left knee pain. The Sixer's training staff was concerned over what they saw out of Embiid during his warmup routine tonight before the game.

This left the sixers very short today as they are without Embiid, Tyrese Maxey, and Tobias Harris (arguable the 76ers three best players. They are playing against another MVP candidate in Nikola Jokic. Embiid got the better of The Joker in their last meeting, however it seems we will have to wait to see another battle between the two big men.

Embiid has gone on record saying he has already won the MVP Award (2023) and he is prioritizing staying healthy so the sixers can finally make it past the second round of the playoffs. He seems to be backing this up with the number of games he has missed this year, he will soon be out of the running for MVP.
