Atlanta Hawks and Boston Celtics Agree To Two For One Trade

The Boston Celtics are trading center Tristan Thompson to the Atlanta Hawks for guard Kris Dunn, center Bruno Fernando and a 2023 second-round pick.


Thompson will serve as back up center behind Clint Capela.

Thompson, the 5th pick in 2011 NBA Draft, averaged 7.6 points and 8.1 rebounds per game for Boston last season.

Dunn, 27, has appeared in just four games last season with the Hawks while Fernando averaged 1.5 points and 2.4 rebounds in 33 games he played last season.
