Chris Paul's Plan To Slow Down Giannis Antetokounmpo

The Milwaukee Bucks came back from the dead last night to win their first game of the NBA Finals and bring the series to a 2-1 record. They still have a long way to go to beat back the Phoenix Suns and secure this year's trophy but they are finally headed in the right direction.

A large part of Sunday's rallying rout was Giannis Antetokounmpo, of course. The star Bucks player put up 41 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists. In fact, over the last two games, Antetokounmpo has delivered over 80 points for Milwaukee.

Simply put, the Suns aren't winning the Finals if they don't stop the Giannis. Suns point guard Chris Paul is well aware of that and had this to say after last night's defeat:

The Suns have their work cut out for them when building this "wall." The problem is two-fold. If they find a way to shut Giannis down, as they have before, they then have the issue of Kris Middleton or Jrue Holiday, who can receive the ball from Giannis and create great plays themselves. The Bucks have multiple avenues to make buckets, even without Antetokounmpo.

But first things first, the Suns need to listen to Paul and build the wall he's talking about. Without that, Giannis is just going to keep playing like a pro and send the Suns home empty-handed.
