Aron Baynes is an Australian professional basketball player who last played for the Toronto Raptors of the National Basketball Association.

Baynes has played nine seasons in the NBA, and he won a championship with the San Antonio Spurs in 2014.
When he traveled to Tokyo to play for his home country of Australia in the 2020 Summer Olympics, and he was involved in a terrifying accident that nearly left him paralyzed and could've ended his basketball career.


Before the 4th quarter of a close game at the Olympics, Aron Baynes ran to the bathroom. He never came back. Within hours he was in a Tokyo hospital fearing paralysis and his NBA career was derailed.
