Laker legend tweets out 2 players that the Lakers need to get to win the NBA Championship

After a disappointing 2021-2022 NBA season where the Lakers not only missed the playoffs but also the play in, they finished with an embarrassing record of 33-49.

This NBA offseason has felt like a total revamp of the Lakers squad, they surely want to avoid the debacle they had last year. First by starting with a new coach hire to replace Vogel, Darwin Hamm who was the assistant coach of the Milwaukee Bucks. Hamm's coaching philosophy relies on athleticism and defence, 2 aspects where the Lakers lacked all last year with an aging roster.

Former Laker great Rick Fox has come out and mentioned 2 players that the Lakers need to get to win a ring.




With already adding Beverley, the Lakers still need to add 2 players to complete Rick Fox's dream scenario.

There is no question that both Buddy Hield and Turner will bolster the Lakers lineup by adding youth and energy. Hield will help spread the floor with his elite shooting, and Turner will help mostly on the defensive side by giving energy and some time off for an injury prone Anthony Davis.

Now, what is the price exactly to acquire both of these guys is still undetermined. After the Jazz acquired 5 first rounders for Gobert, the trading market has been put on a pause. The Pacers reportedly wanted 2 first rounders for Turner, which the Lakers turned down for their pursue of Kyrie Irving. However, that deal seems to be off the table after Kevin Durant's decision to return to the Brooklyn Nets.

The Lakers have no choice but to make a major move in whats left of this offseason. They cant have the same year as they did last year, especially with an aging Lebron. They are in Win Now Mode.
