The Lakers Are Trying Really Hard to Trade These Two Stars

There was no doubt that the Lakers would try to trade Kyle Kuzma and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope in the offseason. It seems like LA is willing to trade pretty much anyone but LeBron James and Anthony Davis in the near future and Kuzma and KCP are two of the stars that can probably gain the most in return.

However, it is a bit surprising to hear just how intent the Lakers are at trading them. According to Adrian Wojnarowski, the Lakers have offered these two players to "everyone" in the league. And yet, they still haven't gotten any sort of deal.

We reported earlier today that the Lakers might get Sacramento's Buddy Hield for Kuzma and that deal seems like the most likely for a player with Kuzma's current output. He hasn't been turning in great numbers for the last season and no team is going to be jumping up and down at the chance to sign him. Still, the Lakers are hopeful they can get something in return for Kuzma and KCP, by themselves or as part of a package deal.
