Perhaps one of the biggest looming questions of this NBA off-season is what will happen with the Philadelphia 76ers and Ben Simmons. It is no secret that almost no one was happy with Simmons's output at the end of the season. It is also no secret that most people expect him to go elsewhere soon. But who would want to take a possible All-Star not living up to his potential?

Apparently the Minnesota Timberwolves. T-Wolves writer Dane Moore says that top brass at the Timberwolves and 76ers have been discussing a possible Simmons trade, although nothing serious has come of it yet.

It is important to remember that even though Simmons had a horrible post-season, he still has a lot of promise as a player. He is in fact a great defender to this day. That is exactly the sort of help that the Timberwolves need since they were 28th in defensive ratings this season. Adding Simmons to their roster would give them a major boost. This trade could be a rather good deal for them.

But what who they give in return? What would Philly receive? Should the 76ers wait a bit longer and see which other teams start knocking or should they just try to unload Simmons with the first possible buyer? It will be an interesting off-season for them as they try to navigate a future with or without Ben Simmons.
