Gordon Hayward is Set to Be Traded to a Contender

ESPN sources report that the Oklahoma City Thunder are in the final stages of a trade deal, sending G Tre Mann and F Davis Bertans to the Charlotte Hornets in exchange for Gordon Hayward.

Hayward, whose contract is expiring, had made it clear that he had no intentions of seeking a buyout in the event that he remained untraded, opting instead to honor his commitment with the team.

Throughout his tenure with the Hornets, spanning 168 games, Gordon Hayward has consistently contributed with an average of 16.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 4.0 assists, solidifying his impact on the team.
