Nikola Jokic Threatened by NBA player

They say that after winning a championship, every other team targets you and plays extra hard against you. For one NBA player, they took this to a new level by physically threatening the reigning Finals MVP, Nikola Jokic, after a heated interaction between the two during a game in the 2021/22 season.

Despite this altercation happening nearly two years ago, NBA veteran Markieff Morris seems to still hold a grudge. When speaking to former players Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson on the All Smoke Podcast, Morris claimed that Jokic is going to "get his."

«It was a sucker shot. But he gonna get his though. Don't trip.»

Following the alleged sucker punch, Morris missed a significant period of time, even though he claimed to be ready to play in around 2 weeks. He has also never played against Jokic since the incident. However, after signing a one-year deal with the Mavericks this offseason, he is likely to meet Jokic once again on November 3rd.

«Catching me off guard, he really ain't do s**t. But you know, at the time, I was a little off, It was more so with the Miami Heat, they was just trying to protect me from, you know, against me from myself. But I was cleared to play like two weeks after that, they just held me out. It really wasn't one of those things where I was injured or in pain or anything like that
