Unexpected coaching change, Doc Rivers speculated to take over

For two consecutive NBA seasons, the Milwaukee Bucks have surprisingly dismissed their head coach despite performing impressively. Adrian Griffin was recently let go, only 43 games into his inaugural season leading the team. This follows the earlier termination of Mike Budenholzer after a disappointing first-round playoff exit and a successful 58-win season.

Currently, the Bucks are maintaining a similar level of performance as last year, holding a strong 30-13 record and leading the Central Division.

They are second in the Eastern Conference, trailing the Boston Celtics by 3.5 games. Joe Prunty, an assistant coach, is expected to temporarily assume head coaching responsibilities. However, there's speculation about high-profile unemployed coaches being considered for the role in Wisconsin, with Doc Rivers being a prominent candidate to potentially become Milwaukee's new head coach soon.
