Pelicans' Jaxson Hayes Fights Cops, Hospitalized After Getting Tased For Domestic Disturbance At Home

New Orleans Pelicans big man Jaxon Hayes went into trouble earlier this week.

TMZ Sports reported that Hayes was arrested after an alleged violent altercation with police that sent him and a cop to the hospital.


The police went to his home area in LA after a call of domestic disturbance. Sources said that the Pelican Center fights with the cops and the cops decide to tased him.


The brawl was allegedly so intense, police put out an «officer needs help» radio call.

The 21-year-old was taken to a nearby hospital to get treatment for injuries he suffered in the brawl. The injuries of Hayes were just minor. An officer also sought treatment, thought his condition is unknown.

A case of felony battery on a police officer was filed on Hayes.

The Pelicans have addressed the arrest, saying they're aware of the incident and are working with Hayes' representatives and the NBA to get more information. Hayes posted $25,000 bail and has been released from custody.

Last season, Hayes has averaged 7.5 points, 4.3 rebounds and 0.6 blocks in just 16.5 minutes per game.
