Breaking: Bojan Bogdanovic out for the Season

Breaking news reports that New York Knicks Bojan Bogdanović's season is now over.

The Knicks forward will be undergoing immediate surgery to fix lingering issue in his foot and his wrist which has plagued the forward for most of the season. Bojan's health status has reached a breaking point in his career, and he can no longer be of use to his team in the playoffs due to his chronic pain levels. Unfortunately, this comes as a huge blow for the Knicks who are currently in a tight battle with the Philadelphia 76ers in a first-round playoff matchup.

The Croatian power forward has been huge for the Knicks coming off the bench so far, but due to the serious nature of his injuries, immediate medical intervention must take place. Bogdanovic also missed Game 5 of the series, and will also likely miss summer camp training.



The Athletic reports "New York Knicks forward Bojan Bogdanovic will undergo season-ending surgeries to repair foot and wrist injuries, sources tell Bogdanovic played a key scoring role off the Knicks bench since coming over in deadline day trade from Detroit."

Bogdanovic finished the regular NBA season with an average of 15.2 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game while shooting 45.4 percent from the field and 39.8 percent from the three-point range in only 57 regular season games.

Hopefully Bogdanovic can come back stronger next season with a full recovery.
