Michael Jordan voted greatest player ever, surpassing LeBron James

In the latest NBA player poll by The Athletic, Michael Jordan has been voted the greatest player of all time, narrowly surpassing LeBron James by just 3.8 percent. Throughout his illustrious career, Jordan boasted averages of 30.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game. His accolades include six championships, five regular-season MVPs, six Finals MVPs, and 10 scoring titles.

Additionally, Jordan is notable for being first in NBA history in points per game, among other rankings, and famously scored a record 63 points in a playoff game. The Chicago Bulls saw unmatched success during his era, achieving two three-peats in the NBA Finals.




LeBron James, on the other hand, has made his own significant marks on NBA history with averages of 27.1 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 7.4 assists. His resume includes four regular-season MVPs, four championships, and the same number of Finals MVPs.

Last season, at 39, LeBron became the NBA's all-time leading scorer. He ranks highly across several statistical categories and is the only player to score 40,000 points and is first in assists among the top five all-time scorers.
