In the 2024 NBA playoffs' kickoff game, SGA and the OKC Thunder delivered a stunning performance against the Dallas Mavericks.

SGA has had a noteworthy season so far, but it seems he's raised the bar even further in the playoffs. The OKC Thunder, led by SGA, have been an unstoppable force, preventing their rivals from reaching a score beyond 100 in any match so far. Their defense has been formidable, and now insiders are attributing their advantage over the Mavericks to their superior athleticism.

Mavericks star forward Luka Doncic comments on the OKC Thunder post game and said : "They're a great team, Great defensive team, great offensive team. So it's not going to be easy at all. We've got to very good basketball and focused basketball for 48 minutes."

SGA's performance against the Mavericks was nothing short of outstanding, with a score of 29 points, nine assists, and nine rebounds. They trounced the competition with a striking scoreline of 117-95. Gilgeous-Alexander made successful attempts at 19 field goals and 13 free throws, 8 and 11 respectively, before exiting the game when there were only 3:26 minutes left and the Thunder were leading by 111-89. If the Mavericks hope to progress beyond this point, they will need to devise a strategy to curtail SGA's influence and combat this zealous OKC Thunder side.
