Following the trade deadline, the Raptors made significant moves by trading starting guard Dennis Schröder and acquiring Immanuel Quickley. Now, they are seeking additional bench support.

In a recent announcement on Wednesday, the Toronto Raptors revealed the signing of guard D.J. Carton to a 10-day contract, with financial details withheld in accordance with team policy. Standing at 6-foot-3 and weighing 200 pounds, Carton has been showcasing his talents in the NBA G League this season with the Iowa team.

Impressively, he averages 18.6 points, 5.7 assists, and 3.4 rebounds per game across 29 appearances. Carton's shooting percentages are equally commendable, boasting .527 from the field, .395 from beyond the arc, and .796 at the free-throw line. With three 30-point games under his belt, Carton brings substantial scoring prowess to the Raptors.

Originally from Bettendorf, Iowa, Carton has previously played in the G League with Iowa and Greensboro, consistently delivering strong performances. Before his professional career, he played college basketball at Ohio State and Marquette, earning accolades such as 2019 Iowa Mr. Basketball and Iowa Gatorade Player of the Year.
