2nd Winningest coach in franchise history, Quinn Snyder has led the Utah Jazz through some of the most exciting years of basketball ever witnessed. Described as a defensive guru, he has helped develop a fierce defense that has dominated opponents year after year.

Quinn Snyder (born May 12, 1968) is an American basketball coach who was the head coach of the Utah Jazz. He has previously been an assistant coach with Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers. A native of New York City, Snyder played college basketball at University of Wisconsin–Green Bay (now the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay Phoenix) from 1989 to 1993 before getting his first coaching job at South Dakota State University in 1994. He coached there for eight years before becoming an assistant at Richmond for two years and Vanderbilt for three years. In 2010 he joined Gregg Popovich's staff with the San Antonio Spurs as a defensive specialist, then moved to Golden State when Steve Kerr hired him in 2014.

New Orleans Pelicans coach Alvin Gentry says Quin Snyder has stepped down as head coach of the Utah Jazz .Gentry says Snyder's decision was a shocker to him and others, adding:

"It was very surprising"

Gentry says he still doesn't know why Snyder left or if there are other coaching opportunities elsewhere.

After eight seasons as coach, Snyder simply decided that it's time to step away. Conversations had been amicable with team, relationships still strong, but Snyder has decided to leave after building the Jazz into a perennial playoff contender.

"After eight years, I just feel it is time to move onward," Snyder said in a statement.

I have not found anything wrong with Quinn Snyder , he is just as good as you think, it is just always falling short at the start of the playoffs. Salt Lake City is a good organization.
