It's been a long and winding road finding a new home for Philadelphia 76ers player Ben Simmons but it sounds like things might be finally happening.

Sam Amico of Hoops Wire says that both the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Minnesota Timberwolves have emerged as front runners to land the troubled star.

«Sources tell me the Cavs are actually one of two teams most actively in pursuit of Simmons, with the [Minnesota] Timberwolves being the other.»

Apparently, Simmons is very attracted to the idea of joining the Cavs. Many people see Simmons on the Cavaliers as a very good fit and think he would instantly become the best player on the team. While his offensive skills have been severely lacking lately, he is still a great defender and has achieved averages of 15.9 points a game along with 8.1 rebounds, 7.7 assists, and 1.7 steals. If he is given a new home, a coach that believes in him, and a squad to back him up there is a good chance Simmons can turn a corner and start fresh in a big, exciting way.
